Kai Corporation Seki Magoroku Magnolia Petty 120mm Stainless Steel Three-Layer Steel

About Seki Magoroku (関孫六)
During the Kamakura period, a swordsmith who moved from Kyushu to the current Gifu Prefecture, Seki City (Mino) began sword making in this region blessed with high-quality soil, water, and charcoal, which is the origin of Seki Kaji (関鍛冶). Many famous swords were born, but the master craftsman Seki no Magoroku (関の孫六) devised unique sword-making techniques, producing beautifully artistic and exceptionally sharp top-quality works. As the era transitioned from Edo to Meiji, many of Seki's swordsmiths shifted to manufacturing household knives. The belief that Seki's swords are "unbreakable, unbendable, and cut well" has been firmly passed down to modern knife making. The name of the "Seki Magoroku" series is attributed to the 27th generation Kanemoto, swordsmith Kaneko Magoroku, who conveys the sharpness of the craft to the present while utilizing the skills of the artisans.
