Instructions for Wearing Foam Earplugs
Step 1
Roll and compress with clean hands
Hold the earplugs with your thumb and index finger as shown in the illustration
Gradually compress the entire tapered end of the earplug by rolling it
into a small, wrinkle-free cylindrical shape
Step 2
Insert the plug for a secure fit
Extend your hand above your head and gently pull your ear upward and outward as shown in the illustration
Firmly insert the compressed tapered end of the plug
deep into the ear canal
Keep it pressed for 30 to 60 seconds until the earplug expands
Release and then press again
Press for 5 seconds to fit
Step 3
When properly fitted, the bottom end of the plug will
be positioned at the opening of the ear canal
Step 4
If part of the earplug does not fit properly in the ear canal
its effectiveness will be reduced
Step 5
Now, check the user's fit
In a noisy environment, wear the earplugs
and cup both ears with your hands before releasing
If the earplugs are properly fitted
you should not feel a significant difference in sound attenuation
This is good
On the other hand, if a proper fit is not achieved
move to a quiet place and repeat this fitting procedure
Step 6
For removing the earplugs,
slowly take out the earplugs
gently twisting to gradually release the seal
Removing them suddenly may damage the eardrum
