要 切付4寸 (120ｍｍ)は、野菜の皮むきや薄切り等、細かい作業に最適な小回りの利く1本。
少量の下ごしらえにも重宝する大きさです。

関孫六とは(Seki-Mago-Roku)
鎌倉時代に九州から現在の岐阜県関市(美濃)に移り住んだ刀鍛冶が、良質の土、水、炭に恵まれたこの地域で、刀剣作りをはじめたのが関鍛冶(Seki-Kaji)の起源です。多くの名刀が生まれましたが、名匠「関の孫六」(Seki-no-Magoroku)は独特の作刀を工夫し、美しく芸術性の高い、切れ味の抜群な最上の業物を世に送り出しました。江戸から明治と時代は変遷し、関の刀匠たちの多くが家庭用刃物の製造へと転業しました。関の刀剣が「折れず曲がらず、よく切れる」と称賛された信念は、現代の刃物作りにもしっかりと受け継がれています。「関孫六」シリーズの銘は27代目兼元、刀匠金子孫六氏によるもので、匠の技を生かしながら、その切れ味を現代に伝えています。
